Google Snake unblocked is Google`s take on the classic Snake, the same game you can play right inside Google Search. The idea is the one you remember: guide your snake around the board, eat the apples to grow longer, and avoid crashing into a wall or your own body. It is easy to pick up and surprisingly hard to master once your tail starts filling the screen.

What makes it stand out is the range of modes. In Wall Mode every apple you eat leaves a brick wall behind. Portal Mode puts two fruits on the board, and eating one sends your head out of the other. Cheese Mode gives your snake gaps in its body that you can slide through, Twin Mode swaps your head and tail every time you eat, and No Borders lets you wrap around the edges. Blender Mode combines several modes into one round, and Peace Mode removes the pressure entirely so you can play until you decide to stop.

You can also change the settings, including the snake`s speed, the size of the board and how many fruits appear at once. Snake was made by Google; this page is not affiliated with or endorsed by Google.

How to Play Google Snake

Steer the snake around the board and eat each apple to grow longer. The longer you get, the less room you have, so plan your path to avoid trapping yourself. In the standard game, crashing into a wall or your own body ends the round.

Before you start, pick a mode and adjust the settings. Wall Mode, Portal Mode, Cheese Mode, Twin Mode and No Borders each change the rules in a different way, Blender Mode lets you combine them, and Peace Mode lets you play without being able to lose.

Tips

In Wall Mode, eat in a consistent pattern so the walls you leave behind do not box you in.
In Portal Mode, take a moment after each teleport to reorient before your next move.
In Cheese Mode, keep track of where the gaps in your body are, because only those parts can be crossed.
In Blender Mode, start by combining just two modes until you are comfortable, since stacking several gets chaotic fast.
Use Peace Mode to learn a new mode first, since you cannot lose there.

Frequently Asked Questions

What game modes does Google Snake have?

Google Snake has a Classic mode plus many variants, including Wall, Portal, Cheese, No Borders, Twin, Winged, Yin Yang, Key, Sokoban and Peace. Blender Mode lets you combine several of them into a single custom round.

What is Cheese Mode in Google Snake?

In Cheese Mode, your snake's body has visible and invisible parts, and you can move through the invisible parts without ending the game. It breaks the usual rule of never crossing your own body, but only where the gaps are.

How does Wall Mode work in Google Snake?

In Wall Mode, every item you eat in Google Snake leaves a brick wall on the board. The walls build up as the round goes on, so careful routing becomes more important with every apple you collect.

What is Blender Mode in Google Snake?

Blender Mode in Google Snake lets you combine two or more game modes into a single round. It is a way to design your own challenge, though stacking several modes at once can quickly become chaotic.
