Island of Pirates is a combat game set on an island held by blue soldiers, with you as the pirate sent to take it back. Clearing every enemy from the island is the goal and there is no negotiating stage.
Enemies arrive from multiple directions rather than queueing up, so the island fights you as a space rather than as a series of encounters. That makes movement the survival tool, since a position that was safe a moment ago stops being safe as soon as the second group finds you.
How to Play Island of Pirates
WASD moves, shift runs, space jumps and Q rolls. The roll is the important one, because it takes you out of a line of fire faster than running does.
You fight blue soldiers across an island and the aim is to clear every one of them. Enemies come from more than one direction at once, so rolling to break a line of fire and then coming back is more effective than trading shots from a single spot.
