Player one moves with W, A, S, D and uses power ups with T, while player two takes the arrow keys with P. Power ups sit on their own key, so holding one costs nothing until you decide to use it.
Spend a power up when a rival is already committed to a dusty corner. Twelve routes means coins accumulate slowly, so finishing consistently matters more than winning one race spectacularly and crashing out of the next three.
